Does your email grows s-l-o-w-l-y, with perhaps one or two new subscribers each week…at best? Use an e-book to turn things around.

But don’t get in a tizzy to think all e-books are for free…

Publishing your premium e-books on Kindle, for example, (through affiliates, and on your blog), lets you make some real money.

Plus, an authoritative e-book positions you as an expert in your industry or niche.

You’d say, “then let me get down to writing my first e-book already…”

Well, not so fast.

You see, an e-book would be a big step up for you as a writer. You’re happy you finally have your name on something that you can truly call your own…on the big world wide web.

Cheered on by the overwhelming feeling of having your name on your first print, but I bet it wouldn’t take long until you’ll find that all of those vibes of publishing your e-book ain’t sexy no more. My point exactly?

To start with, you don’t know what your audience content needs are. More so, you don’t know how to go about figuring those needs.

Then come the days of brainstorming and careful planning to be followed by the writing proper–which may extend into weeks or months. Not to forget the several edits, the investment in a proofreader or editor (assuming your editing skills aren’t up to par). I forgot to add that you need a designer for the book cover, too.

All of those, at the end of the day, would culminate into a whole lot of activities so that you’ll ask yourself, “what’s the point of publishing my e-book if it’s got to be this monotonous?

And yet, that’s only one part of publishing your e-book (assuming you have a goal that’s worth achieving. Doesn’t matter if it’s to increase your subscribers or to cash in on some cash).

Writing: check. Promotion/marketing?

In addition to easing you of the attendant pains that comes with writing a top-notch e-book, my e-book would’ve worked more than half the journey so that there would be little or no marketing left for you to undertake until you start:

  • Experiencing an unbelievable increase in blog traffic and mass email subscriptions.
  • Gaining industry authority, credibility, and thought leadership.
  • Making real money.
